乐曲是流行于江南一带的民间乐曲改编而成，曲式结构类似吹打乐，用琵琶技巧模仿打击乐，锣鼓乐段和旋律部分轮番演奏，表现了我国传统节日——端午节划龙舟的热烈场面。

中国江南地区で引き継がれた民間流行音楽である。端午の節句に行なわれる龍船の早漕ぎ(ドラコンボートレース)の熱狂と観客の喜悦の様子を琵琶で表現するもの。琵琶は中国民間音楽「吹打楽曲式」を持ち入れ、打楽器のようり演奏、ドラマチックでき、琵琶特得な魅力が味わえる。
