  这首童谣描述的似乎是一个去集市的场景，在这里fair就是有集市、庙会的意思，不禁让我想起一首特别有名的歌曲《Scarborough Fair》原是一首古老的英国民歌，其起源可一直追溯到中世纪。斯卡布罗集市(Scarborough Fair)本是由于维京人经常的登陆，作一些交换而形成的一个定期集市，在几百年的时间里，每年的秋天持续一个半月，现在的英国，还有这么一个小镇。
