How to learn a foreign language?

The most important way is practice as much as possible with native speakers.

There have four parts in learning a foreign language there are listening、reading、speaking、writing.

According to my experience of learning English I would like to talk about how to improve this four parts individual as following.(I just want to share with you if you think this is not good a way pls feel free to point it out or we can discuss about it. hope we can find a better way to learn a new language.haha~~~)

Listening and reading are input.speaking and writing are output.only input a lot then you can have some things to output right?

Listening

1. Listen a lot.find some pocasts、 vedio、movies 、audio material.etc.any materials you are interested in to listen.

2. Practice as much as possible with native speakers.you can listen how your language partners pronounce the vocabularies and learn spoken /oral language.

(For this part maybe you can’t understand a word in the beginning but it dosen’t matter.After a long time you will find you can understand some words.After a really long time maybe half year you can understand what the passage talk about.For me I spent 20 minutes every day to listen BBC 6 minutes for about one year on my way to work. it did worked for me .中文把这种方法叫：泡耳朵。Pls forgive me I don’t know the translation of 泡耳朵in English .23333)

Reading

1. Reading a lot.Find any materials that you like to read.for me I am preparing IELTS exam so I read Cambridge. Also I read something passages from Quora .I think there have some answers about how to learn something or how to live a better life which is pretty good.In china we have a similar app named 知乎.you can see something usefull at this app.

(Actually I don’t read a lot so I don’t think I can give you a effevtive advice. If you have some good advice to improve reading. you can tell me I will really appreciate it.

Speaking

1. The most important and effective way is practice as much as possible with native speakers.

2. shadowing. You can follow the speaker when you are listening.(此处应该有链接但我在Quora上找不到了。)

（Ask your language partner to correct your tone、grammar or structure of the sentence.Before i practice with you I didn’t say a lot.So even though I know about 3 or 4 thousand vocabularies but I can’t express myself well.i feel like the vocabularies stucking in my mind but I can’t use/ active it.After I practiced more times with you I found I can handle some basic convesations right now.Also,I can remember more words easily during during communication.I think it is easy way to memorize a word when it use in a certain situation.There is an old saying that practice makes prefect.lol）

Writing

1. I am super poor in this part what should I say.(不要打我，认真脸)

2.After a lot listening ,speaking and especially​reading.

You can try to practice in writing.( when I was preparing my first ielts exam last year I tried to wrote one essay every two days.I kept doing this about one month then I gave up.I did saw some progress but i was too lazy to insist in it.真的太懒了嘛~捂脸)

Last I want to introduce other super effective ways.but those ways cost tremendous time and patient.(放大招啦，假装是大招吧，哈哈其实我实在没有很多时间去用这个方法因为过程太痛苦了。反正觉得有点虐lol)

Listening

1. Find some materials that suits you and your interest to listen.Then writing the whole passage down while you are listening.you can chose a material which last about 3-6 minutes.Then listen to it over and over again until you can write every word in passage down.

(I remembered when I use this way I spent around one hour to finish one passage.By this way you can know how to spell and pronounce the words. The process is a bit boring, but it's very useful.However I don’t have much time to continue it.又说没时间直接说懒不就得了吗，哎人间不拆啊。)

Reading

1. Put every word and sentences that you don’t know into your note book in order to review it in your spare time.(所谓精读法.so-called intensive reading.~~~~精读好虐嘛，臣妾做不到啊~~)

Above are some ways that I used to learn a foreign language.I think it worked for me. But I still don't practice enough, therefore my English level is not up to my goal.i know it is a long way to go.After practice with you I found I made some progress in my spoken English.i want to say thank you .i really appreciated it.

I spent my lunch breaks to write this passage I hope it can help you in learning Chinese.

Again I Just want to share.i know there are some mistakes including wrong word or grammar mistakes.But I don’t have time to correct it because I am about to work now.Sorry about that.If you have a better way pls share with me I am willing to hear it.
