    User Flow of Yelp APP Case 1: home page & search page

    01 / home page

    Home page is very clean and simple, which only shows several categories ppl focus on usually. There is no any extra ads or promotion info.

    The most important goal of Users’ on yelp is finding out the info of stores or restaurants where they want to go. All the content here on home page is guiding users to find out what they want. It

    excellently indicates “meaning of Goal oriented design”.

    If APP is in loading process, it will show a line words - “loading... finding nearby businesses” to note users app is working.

    02 / search page

    If users search something on search bar on home page, you will jump to search page. Besides “filter and map” icon on the top left and top right, there is also a narrow bar between search bar and search results content, which shows some frequently used filter options. Users also could hit options in that filter bar to filter info quickly.

    Once you hit any filter btn, that btn will be highlighted and results will be shown below. The highlighed btn will tell you where you are now. :)

    03 / map page

    When users swiches from list page to map page, it will show detailed info of the best option including some important info of this store. You still could use that fast narrow filter bar on the top.

    Case 2: Filter page

    04 / filter page

    On filter page, it rank several options in the order of importance to users. Resveration, price, popular? open time, distance...etc. For some options, it will be set as the default option like “best match”, then when you click the “drop down btn”on the right, there will show more options for users. B/C those options are less important options, hiding those options will give much more clean user interface and it also reduce the

    chances to let users to make unnecessary decisions.

    Case 3: Reservation function

    For reservation function, when you go filter page and set the “open time”, you will see 3 time option btns on results list page, click any one time btn, you will get to reservation page quickly. On store detail page, you also could see time btns,which means you can also book a table on this page. This function will tempt ppl to book a table and purchase.
