    scoot over: if someone sitting down scoots over, they move to a different position, for example to make space for someone else to sit down. If I scoot over a little, there's room for you.

    bounce someone (into doing something): 1. to make someone do something when they did not really want to do it or needed more time to think about it. She felt she'd been bounced into accepting the invitation.
