Everybody wants to keep positive, but nobody could always stay positive and optimistic.
Irritated?Right now, I am facing a challenge to finish a promo`sal when I don't feel like working on a big task, which is bothering me and makes me feel restless. Well, it's the perfect time to practice allowing yourself to mess up.
After reviewing the stuff I did this morning, it's actually very nice. After woke up this morning, I meditated for 15 minutes, did exercises(pushing ups, full squats and abdominal exercises) for 25 minutes, made breakfast, read and recorded English or 40 minutes, and taught my community fellows English for 20 minutes(including preparing materials and comments), and also dealt with other chores.
Allow yourself to mess upHowever, the proposal for the new business is the most important and urgent item that I should handle immediately, and yet I am reluctantly to start it. The reasons are as below:
1. I always pursue perfection. In fact, beginning right now and having it completed are more important than perfection. It's the same case for any other tasks.
2. Got frightened by the big task. I should break down the task, set up a timeline for each small takes, and just start it no matter how it will be going.
3. Got distracted by other tasks. I cannot feel inner peace for a while, since I am scheduled pretty much tasks. But I should prioritize and only to put 5 ones at maximum. For instance, it's already perfect if I could finish 2-3 slides of the proposal, English reading and an article.
4. Allow myself to mess up from time to time. Do not expect perfection as long as we are on the way. Praise yourself if you've already did pretty much and fairly well. Do not burden your shoulder too much at one time. And yet, if you keep messing up , setting up some accountability, or change your environment so it's easier to implement.
I am going to have a little break after finishing this article, then break down the proposal and just get into it.
