Summary:
The key difference between writing for the web and writing for the print is people’s reading behavior.People don’t read on the web page. They SCAN it.Thus, when we write for the web, we need to make sure our content are readable and easy for users to understand. In addition, no matter what we write, we always need to balance users needs and business needs.

The Difference Between Web and Print Content:
They are completely different mediums and different physical things. Moreover, the way people read them is also different.
Print:
1. people read it from front to back most commonly
2. print content doesn’t have to rely on a power source
3. people like to take enough time to read
Online:
1. rely on a power source
2. people scan the web page in a F-shape pattern, and they don’t read it.
3. people like to snack pieces of information
4. people turn to be lazy and impatient
The Purpose of Content:
1. persuade
2. inform
3. entertain
4. change behavior
5. enforce compliance
Search Engine Optimization:
Elements on the web page that search engines love: page title, keywords, and links
Things can make SEO-friendly:
1. create new content
2. use natural language
3. topical content
4. unique content: users can only find it on your website but others
5. links: insert internal link or link to other websites
Don’t focus on SEO too much.Focus on users is the most important thing to build content. Content needs to be good, accurate and accessible.
