dismiss: to refuse to consider someone's idea, opinion, etc, because you think it's not serious, true or important.

进阶篇:
dismiss 是及物动词,有多个意思,比如“解雇、解散”等,我们今天来学习它表示“对...不予考虑”的意思。这个用法很常见。dismiss 常见的用法诗后面直接接宾语,另一常见的用法是dismiss sth as sth,其中第二sth可以是名词也可以是形容词,表示动作发出者的具体态度。
