    这两天都在忙着做微课,今天把字幕搞整理出来了,明天就开始录音合成视频了,马上到截止日期了,加油干。

Qing Ming is popularly associated with Jie Zitui, a famousMinister of Jin State, who lived in the Spring and Autumn period, more than 2000 years ago. Legend has it that Jie saved his lord-Duke Wen’s life by serving a piece of his own leg and made great contributions to him.

But he was indifferent to fame and wealth and retired to the mountain with his mother. He stubbornly refused Duke Wen’s invitation. So the more stubborn Duke Wen’s set fire to the mountain to force him out.

Finally, Jie Zitui was willing to be borned to death rather than go out of the mountain. Feeling remorseful, Duke Wen ordered three days without making fire to cook in honour of Jie Zitui.  Thus began the “cold food feast”, a day when no food could be cooked since no fire could be lit. The “cold food” festival occurs on the eve of Qing Ming and is often considered as part of the Qing Ming festival. As time passes, the Qing Ming festival replaced the “cold food” festival.

The major custom in Qingming Festival is tomb sweeping. Cleaning the tombs and paying respect to the dead with offerings of food, wine and paper money are two important rituals.

Today, in order to protect the environment, this custom has changed in cities. Flowers are the best gifts to the dead.

As trees turns green, flowers blossom ,and sun shines brightly ,everything returns to life.It is a fine time to go out and to appreciate the beautiful scenes of nature during the festival. This custom can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty and followed by each dynasty later till today.

Flying kites is an activity favored by many Chinese during Tomb-Sweeping Day. What makes flying kites during this festival special is that people cut the string while the kite is in the sky to let it fly free. It is said this brings good luck and that diseases can be eliminated by doing this.

Because Jie Zitui died embracing a willow tree, the willow is believed to have miraculous powers against evil. During the Qingming Festival, willow branches are hung on door fronts and used to sweep the tombs

Qingming represents the best time of spring scenery. Sacrificing to ancestors during such a wonderful time showcases the importance of inheritance in Chinese people's mind. Thanks to such awareness of inheritance, Chinese culture has always maintained that vitality for thousands of years
