cripple: damage ... badly, defeat.既可指物理伤害也可指心里伤害，与paralyse可同义替换。

count: to be important.关于count的多种用法我在之前总结过，当表示重要时与matter同义替换。

shape: to have an impact on. 作动词表示塑造，强调影响，可以与influence同义替换。注意与reshape之间的区别：reshape强调之前已经有某种形态，现在重新塑造。

shift: to change a situation. 作动词表示改变，与change同义替换。

favor: show approval or preference. 两种含义：1）赞同，与support同义替换；2）偏好，与prefer同义替换
