1.at a pinch
At a pinch one could escape that way.
explanation: used to say that you could do something if necessary in a difficult or urgent situation
e.g. There's a space for three people. Four at a pinch.
2.soak
The two men were breathing hard, their feet and the bottom of their trousers were soaking wet.
explanation: to make sb/sth completely wet
e.g. A sudden shower of rain soaked the spectators.
3.merriment
