1. The greenhouse effect is when gases in Earth's atmosphere act like the glass in a greenhouse or a hothouse. They trap in heat which warms up the earth.
2. Now, over the next few weeks, we're gonna focus on carbon and its role in what's known as the "greenhouse effect." Everyone knows what that is,right?
3. So we're gonna focus today on the difference between good, bad, and well, the, not so bad, the potentially okay carbon burning. OK, good carbon burning. Well, we all have a personal sta... in this because burning carbon is the basis of life.
4. Oxygen gets chemically combined with sugars in our cells and the energy produced from that reaction is then used to power the cells. So just by breathing you could say we are all guilty of carbon emission and contribute to the amount of carbon in the atmosphere.
5. You wanted to see me to get some feedback on your group's proposal. The one you are submitting for the geography society field trip competition. I've had a look through your proposal and I think it's a really good choice.
6. In fact,I only have a few things to say about it, but even in an outline document like this you really have to be careful to avoid typos and problems with layout in the proposal, and even in the contents pages. So read it through carefully before submitting it,okay? Will do.
7. And I've made a few notes on the proposal about things which could have been better s…. As for the writing itself,I've annotated the proposal as and where I thought it could be improved.
8. Generally speaking,I feel you've often used complex structures and long sentences for the sake of it and as a consequence, although your paragraphing and inclusion of sub-headings help, it's quite hard to follow your train of thought at times, so cut them down a bit, can you?
9. My father was a great fan of cowboy films and the Wild West so I was subjected to seeing all the epics, many of which were shot there. As a consequence,it feels very familiar to me and it's awesome both geographically and visually,so it's somewhere I've always wanna to visit.
10. Another thing about atmospheric carbon, it keeps us from freezing. Because without carbon and other greenhouse gases, our planet would be the same temperature as outer space, around four degrees above absolute zero. And there's nothing going on at that temperature. No possibility of life of any sort, so without atmospheric carbon, life couldn't exist on Earth.
