      “What are you doing, Jack?” The teacher interrogated, “Aren’t you supposed to be doing your test paper by yourself?”

      My blood froze. Chills started to run down my spine and panic started to engulf me. My hands felt clammy and l could not stammer a single word. In the midst of the nervousness, my mind flew back to 8 a.m. …

      “ Tip, tap, tip ,tap.” I could hear the footsteps of the coming test invigilator. The footsteps were like the footsteps to doom as I had not revise for it. Although it was only a mock test, my mathematics teacher warned us that it would be very difficult . Only the ones who started revising for the past few weeks would be able to get ninety and above.

      The invigilator started to arrange the seats. Once it’s done , I looked around for my pals that I could “rely” on. No luck! They were all sitting very far away from me. Suddenly, I saw Jane, who is not a genius, but smart and diligent. Aha! I had a wicked idea! —cheating!

      “Your time starts …now!” The teacher announced. Soon, l could hear the sound of pencils scribbling. At the corner of my eye, I saw that Jane had also started answering. My heart pounded ferociously as I copied. l knew that copying was not right but what could I do? I couldn’t hand in a blank paper!

      “Okay, the answer is 1, 3, 4, 2, …” I whispered quietly to myself as I copied. All of a sudden, the invigilator turned his head suddenly and caught me red handed. Then, my memory flew back to now, when I was given a tongue-lecture.  I was given a “0” for the mock test and the reason was written beside the “parent signature” line.

      I promised to turn over a new leaf and I studied day and day. Finally, with the help of my family and friends, I got a straight “A star” for the real SA1 mathematic. I was over-joyed that all my hard work had paid off.

      I am very grateful to all the people who has helped me. Honesty is the best policy and I have learnt that there is no shortcuts to learning, only studying will give you the results you want.

      “你在做什么，杰克？”老师问道，“你不是应该自己做你自己的试卷吗？”

      我的血液凝固了。我开始浑身发抖，恐慌开始吞没我的身体。我的手心开始出汗，又湿又冷，口中一个字都说不出。在紧张的气氛中，我的思绪飞回到早上8点......

      “踢—踏，踢—踏。”我能听到即将到来的监考人员的脚步声。脚步声听起来就像厄运的脚步，因为我没有复习。虽然这只是一个模拟测试，但我的数学老师警告我们：题目非常难。只有那些在几周前就开始复习的人才能拿到九十分以上。

      监考人员开始安排座位。一坐下来，我就四处寻找可以“依赖”的朋友。真不走运！他们都坐在离我很远的地方。突然，我看到小美，她虽然不是天才，但聪明勤奋。啊哈！我有一个邪恶的想法！——抄答案！

      “考试现在......开始！”老师宣布。很快，我就能听到铅笔写字的沙沙声。我用眼角的余光，看到小美也开始作答。我抄袭时心脏跳个不停。我知道抄答案不对，但我该怎么办？我总不能交一张白卷！

      “好吧，答案是1,3,4,2 ......”我抄答案时，我低声悄悄地低声对自己说。突然，监考人员突然转过头，现场抓住了我，并开始质问我。我的测试得到“0”，原因写在“父母签名”处的旁边——抄袭。

      我向父母保证一定会改过自新，我一日复一日地学习。最后，在我的家人和朋友的帮助下，我获得了年中数学考试A*的好成绩。我感到非常高兴，我很高兴我的努力得到了回报。

      我非常感谢所有帮助过我的人。诚实是最好的方法，学习没有捷径，只有努力才会给你想要的结果。
