In some countries, a few people earn extremely high salaries. Some people think that the government should control salaries and limit the amount people can earn. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
In this fast-growing modern era, which has made some individuals become multi-millionaires or even billionaires. People hold different opinions on this kind of social phenomenon. While I share concerns with people who believe wealthy folk, such as some successful entrepreneurs do bring benefits to this world, I do trust that the dominate regime ought to take the responsibility to manage the income gap before the situation is out of control.
On the one hand, most of the people who earn fantastic high income run very successful businesses; they are the mainstay of a country's economic system and deserve corresponding salaries. Jack Ma and his giant empire, Alibaba company as a good example. Every year, Alibaba company not only remarkably contributes to the Chinese domestic and international trades, but also create thousands of employment position for the public. Therefore, Jack Ma and his earning is justifiable for his great achievements.
On the other hand, there are sensible arguments in regards to how the income difference between social groups at a high degree can negatively affect the welfare of society. People who struggle to find well-paid jobs may diminish job satisfaction, or even lose their career motivations. Sometimes, there will be more extreme cases, i.e. envy followed by serious social issues. For example, thieves, bank robbery, and illegal dealings, which are detrimental to social development. For these reasons, introducing income threshold is definitely the feasible solution. Supporters of this idea claim that only a narrower income gap will bring equality and hence, sustain the well-being of a nation.
In conclusion, I believe income control is a practical method, which can be used to stabilize the social structure and bring happiness to the citizens.
