Coming up on February the 12th is a very very special day in China. As you probably guess, that is Chinese New Year.
Chinese New Year is not based on Western calendar, so it doesn't go from the 1st of January to the 31th of December . It based on the Lunar Calendar. So it actually falls on different day every year.
There are numbers of sort of traditions that go along with Chinese New Year. And this starts probably about 3 weeks before Chinese New Year, people will do shoppings for gifts. It's kindly similar to Christmas in the UK.
