Nowadays, some people claim that public museums and art galleries will not be needed because people can see historical objects and works of art by using a computer. To what extent do you agree or disagree?观点类
Personally speaking, I cannot side with such superficial view as it depends on the classification of people’s age.
Admittedly, watching historical works online is convenient for young people, because it is easy for them to searching specific websites. To begin with, the younger can save the money to see historical objects online, on account of cost of journey. Secondly, young people could also save time on the way to the museums and art galleries. Generally speaking, it is needed to spend time on waiting to queue to visit in the public museums and galleries. Therefore, people just need to click online and maybe just pay a little, and then they can see the historical objects conveniently.
However, it does not mean that seeing the artworks in realistic life is unnecessary, especially for old people. It is a bit hard for old people that acquiring the capability on how to use computers, even finding the correct websites to see the artworks. To start with, the eyesight of old people is not good at young people, so when they see the screen for long time, their eyes might be hurt and they may feel not comfortable. In addition, with limited of photographs’ techniques and the clarity of the screen, the older could not see clearly, even after they click the pictures of the artworks to enlarge online. Moreover, the atmosphere in the public museums and art galleries are distinct by comparing with the home. Therefore, it is not beneficial for the olds.
To conclude, I concede that the public museums and art galleries play a favorable role in visiting, while the online visiting can not replace them. So I cannot stand with the statement that mentioned.
