College Research

Near the time of applying college, I did a little bit research about the colleges. As we all know, Chinese parents like to pursue the ranking but Americans seem not. And I consider the ranking is an important reference too.

First of all, I am interested in Computer Science, so the college I get are all good at this part. The first is Stanford University (7), the second one is Caltech (10), the third one is CMU (25), the fourth one is Boston University (37), the fifth one is Rensselaer Institute (42), the sixth one is University of Washington (60), the seventh one is Stevens Institute of technology (71). The number after the university is their rankings that you can clearly see I rank them by the ranking of US News, though my favorite is Stanford University, Boston University and University of Washington. That is because this way can plainly show the weight of ranking in my mind. The three of my favorite universities have the priorities to become my choice in a certain range.

The college ranking in my heart is that — Stanford(7), CMU(25), Caltech(10), Boston(37), University of Washington(60), Rensselaer Institue(42) and Stevens Institue of Technology(71).
