两个“你”和你的“机器”(这台“机器”旨在实现你所设定的目标,“机器”产出的结果与目标进行比较,判断“机器”的运行情况,你的这台“机器由机构设置与员工配备两块组成”)principles are concepts that can be applied over and over again in similar circumstances as distinct from narrow answers to specific questions.Every game has principles that successfully players master to achieve winning results.so does life.principles are ways of successfully dealing with the laws of nature or the laws of life. Those who understand more of them and understand them well know how to interact with the world more effectively than those know fewer of them or know them less well.Different principles apply to different aspects of life.eg.there are “skiing principles”for skiing,“parenting principles”for parenting,“management principles”for managing,“investment principles”for investing, etc.and there are over-arching“life principles” that influence our approaches to all things. And,of course, different people subscribe to different principles that they believe work best.
part1:The importance of principles
your values are what you consider important, literally what you“value”,principles are what allow you to live a life consistent with those values.principles connect your values to your actions;they are beacons that guide your actions, and help you successfully deal with the laws of reality.it is to your principles that you turn when you face hard choices.
part2:My most fundamental life principles
Till now I followed the same basic approach I used as a 12 -year-old caddie trying to beat the market.
by1)working for what i wanted, not for what others wanted me to do.
2)coming up with the independent opinions i could muster to move toward my goals;
3)stress-testing my opinions by having the smartest people i could muster to move toward my goals.
4)being wary about overconfidence,and good at not knowing;
and5)wresting with reality, experiencing the rusults of my dicisions, and reflecting on what i did to produce them so that i could improve.
The personal evolutionary process
i believe that life consists of an ennormous number of choices that come at us and that each decision we make has consequence,so the quality of our lives depends on the quality of the dicisions we make.
your mos important choices
The following show five choices,i believe that those who don't move effectively to their goals do the things on the top choice, and those who do move to them most quickly do the things on the bottom choice.
Forth:
so, please remember that,pain+reflection=progress
ask yourself,is it ture?
my 5-step process to getting what you want out of life.
1)setting goals:
you can have virtually anything you want, but you can't have everything you want.
most problems are protential improvements screaming at you.
you will be much more effective if you. focus on diagnosis and design rather than jumping to solutions.
creating a design is like writing a movie scrip in that you visualize who will do what through time in order to achieve the goal.
people who are good at this stage can reliably excute a plan.they tend to be.self-disciplined and proactive.
