After reading The Great Gatsby, to be honest, I'm a little sad. But the characters in it are really full of life, let's talk about Daisy.
Daisy is just like the name that the author gave her . She was gorgeous and charming on the outside, but she was not lovable on the inside. She is pure and beautiful on the surface, in fact ,she is materialistic and cold! But we know that people are diverse, and so is Daisy, so we can't simply judge her with superficial love or hate. In my opinion,Daisy should be a victim of The Times. When she first met Gatsby, I think she really loved him. Although she didn't know that Gatsby was a poor boy at that time, Gatsby also could not honestly face Daisy .Daisy wants Gates to be richer, while Gates lies because he is afraid of losing Daisy.This indicates that their love will eventually be tragic.Therefore, this also reflects the great influence of The Times on everyone, both of them are victims of The Times.
As for what Daisy did later, it further reflects Daisy's surrender to reality. She may yearn for Gatsby's love, but she is unwilling to walk out of the existing comfort zone easily,this is also the status quo of most people, not only Daisy.She's just a microcosm.
Although I don't like Daisy, I think the most hateful thing is not Daisy, but the morbid times
读完《了不起的盖茨比》，说实话，我有点难过。但是里面的人物真的是充满了生气，我们来说说黛西吧。
黛西就像作者给她起的名字一样。她外表艳丽迷人，内心却不讨喜。她表面上清纯美丽，其实是物欲横流，冷酷无情!但我们知道人是多元的，黛西也是多元的，所以我们不能简单地用表面的爱或恨来评判她。在我看来，黛西应该是时代的受害者。当她第一次见到盖茨比的时候，我想她真的很爱他。虽然当时她并不知道盖茨比是个穷小子，但是盖茨比也无法诚实的面对黛西。黛西希望盖茨更富有，而盖茨撒谎是因为他害怕失去黛西。这预示着他们的爱情终将是悲剧的。所以，这也反映了时代对每个人的巨大影响，两人都是时代的牺牲品。
至于黛西后来的所作所为，则更加体现了黛西对现实的臣服。她或许向往盖茨比的爱情，但她不愿意轻易走出现有的舒适区，这也是大多数人的现状，不仅仅是黛西。她只是一个缩影。
虽然我不喜欢黛西，但我觉得最可恨的不是黛西，而是病态的时代。
