For my Gaokao forty years

In 1977, the National college entrance exam revived. The national college entrance exam, known as the "Gaokao", started on today, 7th July, in China. Forty years ago, on the same day, I had my exam. Unfortunately, I failed it. I was born in 1964, two years before the cultural revolution. During the ten years culture revolution, both of my family and the school did not care about my studying. Only from the autumn terms of 1978, when I started high school, I have been studied hard to prepare for the national college entrance exam. Because I did not have a good foundation and just have had two years to learn a lot, I feel difficult. At the end of 1980, when I was sixteen years old, I started my career in the bank. But I have never lost my dream of university education. I have to keep learning, literature, philosophy, economics, law; I think I still prepare for the Gaokao. Today, I have joined lessons at Yale University online. When I have clearly understood what the professor’s speech, I feel confident in my English language for I will continue to enjoy the benefits of studying in all the life, to keep younger and active.

1977年，全国高考又卷土重来。被称为“高考”的高考，于今天，7月7日在中国开始。四十年前的同一天，我考试了。不幸的是，我失败了。我是1964年出生的，比文化大革命早了两年。在十年的文化大革命中，我的家庭和学校都不关心我的学习。从1978年秋季学期开始，我就开始努力学习，为高考做准备。因为我没有一个良好的基础，只是有两年学习了很多，我觉得很难。1980年底，当我十六岁的时候，我在银行开始了我的职业生涯。但我从未失去大学教育的梦想。我必须不断学习，文学，哲学，经济，法律，我想我还在为高考做准备。今天，我参加了耶鲁大学的在线课程。当我清楚地理解了教授的演讲，我对自己的英语有信心，因为我将继续享受学习的好处，让自己更年轻、更活跃。
