世上爱我的人儿，
千方百计紧紧拥抱着我。
而你的爱其实更伟大，
允我以自由的潇洒。
爱我的人不舍离开，
担心我忘到九霄云外。
而你，日复一日
却仍未出现。
如我，
不在祈祷中把你呼唤，
如我，
没有把你放在心田，
你，
对我的爱
是否还在等待
等待我对你的爱。
By all means they try to hold me secure
who love me in this world.
But it is otherwise with thy love
which is greater than theirs,
and thou keepest me free.
Lest I forget them
they never venture to leave me alone.
But day passes by after day
and thou art not seen.
If I call not thee in my prayers,
if I keep not thee in my heart,
thy love for me still waits for my love.
