1.Diamonds in the rough

未经雕琢的钻石只差好好打磨就能bling bling啦！归根到底，说明人家还是块材料啊！

例：She may seem shy and ordinary right now, but give her a couple more years - she truly is a diamond in the rough.

虽然她现在看着害羞，人也一般般，但过几年也会是个可造之材。

2.Have the makings of something

英文里making指的是完成某件事需具备的要素，也指人的素质。这个短语用在人身上时，就是指某人具备成就某件事的素质。

例：He has the makings of a first-rate lawyer.

3.Promising

有希望，有前途，英文里用promising来表示。当你看好谁的时候，就可以将这个词派上用场了。
