写在前面
至今还记得,当年在雅昌,有位玉友每过手一件玉器,都会留下相关拓片。厚厚一本资料展现出来,叹为观止。在众人的啧啧赞叹之下,也分享了相关的流程和工具。
虽然心向往之,但始终没有随从做这件事情,大概还是懒,或者说不够严谨。不过对于传拓的兴趣,却如一颗火种,无论是后来接触珂罗版拓本,还是青铜器全形拓,不时会闪现一下。
从作为“复印”手段,到形成一门艺术,传拓至今活跃在考古文博圈。

1. 实用技艺
宋代即有乌金拓和蝉翼拓之分,不仅用于石碑,青铜器也有应用。

乌金拓多次上墨而黑重,呈油脂光泽,有层次有质感。
蝉翼拓技法更高,浅淡如蝉翅肌理,淡雅通透。
2. 艺术表现
金石学勃兴,拓本赏玩蔚然成风,全形拓立体呈现,不乏与绘画结合的艺术效果。
马起风 浙江省博物馆桑椹在《全形拓之传承与流变》一文中指出,全形拓由浙江嘉兴人马起凤始创,制拓时间可能“早至乾隆年间。

历史上较长一段时间内,要欣赏青铜器形制与纹饰,只能采取传拓的方式。全形拓,从字面上不难理解,“全”是完备、齐全,形是器物的形状、形体。
全形拓又成立体拓,分为“分纸拓”、“整纸拓”、“平面制版”等,可以从字面理解。
“分纸拓”法是将器身、器耳、器腹、器足等部位的纹饰、器铭分拓,拓出来的每个部位是相对独立的一张纸,拼粘在一起,形成整个器形图。陈介祺发明并传播了此拓法。
和“分纸拓”对应的是“整纸拓”。选择所拓器物的最佳角度,画出一个“⊥”形图,然后以它为基础画出线描图,在一整张绵连纸进行。是周希丁等人吸纳了陈介祺的分纸拓之后,将西方传入的透视、素描等技法应用到了全形拓之中的产物。

清嘉道间,全形拓技法在嘉兴地区流传,对物体有整体的规划思考,融汇传拓和绘画。

陈介祺 清代金石学家,精于鉴藏,善墨拓。如雷贯耳的“十钟山房印举”,斋号即来自于所藏青铜编钟。

关于陈介祺,正巧前段草成一篇花笺文章,有更详细的介绍,供参考。
陈介祺和“婕妤妾赵玉印”
陈氏于墨拓有自己的审美和观点,试举两题:
整纸拓者,似巧而俗,不入大雅之赏也。
在他看来,墨拓核心是真实再现器物原貌,而整纸拓法的变形失真,不如分纸拓准确。
拓钟留孔不拓钲为大雅,斜贴作钲甚俗。
此处颇为疑惑,按现定编钟部位名称来看,
正背的中上部直的阔条称为“钲”,其两边突出的乳钉称为“枚”。
但此处讲座PPT列举的图,却为拓枚和不拓枚的对比。从陈氏原文和墨拓技法理解,钲并不特别凸出于器表,似乎不存在斜拓或添画的需要。而枚甚凸出,难以逐一拓制,且为了立体表现,大多后期添画斜视图。
考虑过是钲和枚是否在某一时期混用,或者枚亦附着于钲上,但此二理解皆不符合古字原意,此处存疑,恳请师友不吝赐教。

吴大澂 又一个谈及晚清收藏绕不过去的人物,允文允武,无不涉及。无论是金石书画,还是古玉印章,都属于代表性藏家。
这卷图据第二场讲座,周亚先生介绍,部分为吴大澂旧制,但也有不少是后来吴湖帆新拓加入,也是吴氏造古董的一部分。此处并无贬义,文人的一种游戏,以便欣赏。

木板水印 陈介祺也多为之,因收藏甚富,各方索拓疲于应付,顾刻木版为样,或翻刻石样,再行制拓。各方不以为怪,应是当时一种风气。传闻端方出洋考察,也依样制拓分赠友人。
