Sarah: Something smells good. What are you making, Dad?
Father: Hello, Sarah. I'm making your mum's favourite: croissants.
Sarah: That's very kind of you, but you don't usaully bake. why?
Father: It's her birthday.
Sarah: Oh, no. I forgot.
Sarah: Can I help you?
Claire: I'm thinking of joining a cookery class, Alice.
Alice: What kind of cooking would you like to learn?
Claire: Well, I love indian food, so maybe I should try that.
Alice: Great idea, Claire. I love indian food too.
Alice: You can practise your skills on me.
John: Where would you like to go for dinner tonight?
Dave: I'm not sure, John. I'm in the mood for something different.
John: Why don't we try the new Thai restaurant that opened downtown?
Dave: What's Thai food like?
John: It's really good and quite spicy.
Dave: I love spicy food. Let's go.
Adam: I feel really unhealthy these days, Karen.
Karen: That's because you eat too much fast food.
Adam: I know, but I can't help it. It tastes so good.
Karen: You can eat fast food sometimes, but you should try to eat more fruit and vegetables.
Karen: Here, why don't you try this salad?
Adam: Uh... no thanks. I'm not hungry.
Rob: That was a great meal, Carol. Where did you learn to cook like that?
Carol: Thanks, Rob. I always help my parents in the kicthen.
Rob: That's good. I never learnt to cook anything.
Carol: Well, I like cooking because now you have to do washing-up.
Rob: Oh, I see. Maybe I should join a cookery class!
