两种形式看上去很像,所以容易混淆。
'used to + infinitive'
used to + inifinitive用来谈论过去发生的动作或状态(actions or states),这些动作和状态并不延续到现在。
例如:
- She used to be a long distance runner when she was younger.
- I used to eat meat but I became a vegetarian 5 years ago.
used to + infinitive的否定形式是didn't use to + infinitive;疑问形式是Did you use to ... ?。
这种形式没有现在时态。如果想要谈论当下的习惯,我们只要简单的使用一般现在时,通常再加上表示频率的副词。如:usually、always、oftne、never、etc
例如:
I often eat at the Japanese restaurant in the city center.
be/get used to
be/get used to用来谈论的是习惯。如果你想表达你已经对某事物习以为常时,就是用are used to。如果你想表达对某事物曾感到陌生、但现在不再那么陌生时,就用get used to或are getting used to。
be used to和get used to后面跟名词、代词或动名词这样的名词性的词。
例如:
- I found Slovak food very strange at first but I'm used to it now.
- I'm getting used to driving on the right.
- I can't get used to getting up so early. I'm tried all the time.
- He's not used to the weather here yet. He's finding it very cold.
Be/get used to可以用于过去时、现在时和将来时。
例如:
- You might find it strange at first but you'll soon get used to it.
- He wasn't used to the heat and he caught sunstroke.
