historic 和 historical，既相关，又不同

很多表面上懂的单词，在具体使用的时候，往往显得茫然，特别是一些意思和拼写相近的单词。historic [hɪˈstɒrɪk] 和 historical [hɪˈstɒrɪkl] 都和历史有关的，但是它们的意思还是有区别的。

一、historic 作形容词，意为“历史上著名（或重要）的；可名垂青史的”等，例如：

Modernizing historic buildings can often do more harm than good.

使历史建筑现代化往往弊大于利。

Parts of the Berlin wall are being allowed to stand as historic monuments.

柏林墙的一部分被允许作为历史古迹。

The coronation of a new king is, of course, a historic occasion.

二、historical，作形容词，意为“（有关）历史的；有关历史研究的；历史学的”等，例如：

Many important historical documents were destroyed when the library was bombed.

The book is a work of fiction and not intended as a historical account.

这本书是一部虚构的作品，不打算作历史记述。

She's an avid reader of historical novels.

三、两者的区别

historic 表示在历史上的重要性或对历史的影响，而 historical 表示发生在历史上的、过去的或与历史有关的。
