What is marriage

With 7 year marriage experience, I am just a beginner in this lifelong relationship. But these days, I was quite intrigued by my conversations with some friends about marriage.

F: There used yo be quarrel and fight and of course heartbreak in the family. But now, we can communicate more peacefully and I am quite happy about it. I guess that is because we are both more matured.

My reflection: what is matured? Accept the reality of human nature and live with it?

W: The biggest barrier in my relationship with my husband is my mother in law. He has this stubborn belief that they should be all grateful to her mother in law. It is a problem that cannot be solved and pains me so much. Living with my mother in law is more than a nightmare.

My reflection: why do women in china need to suffer this relationship more than women in other countries that I know? Parents should always step back when their child has started a family.

Marriage is more complex than two young people living together.
