今天跟大家分享一句话，子曰：“可与言，而不与之言，失人；不可与言，而与之言，失言。知者不失人，亦不失言。”
意思是：可以跟他说，却不跟他说，就会失去人才；不可以跟他说，却跟他说了，就是说错了话。聪明人既不会失去人才，也不会说错话。
它告诉我们待人处事，说话第一。要知道怎么讲话，更要知道说什么话。什么话该讲，什么话不该讲，应该明了于心。进一步讲就是说交流沟通要看人，该说不说，可能会错过朋友，与机会失之交臂；说了不该说的，可能引起误会，酿成大错。
换个角度说，想要了解对方是不是聪明人，从他的语气、语调、说话方式，面对不同人有不同的沟通交流技巧看出来。
有智慧的人在正确的时间对着正确的对象说正确的话，而犯糊涂的人在错误的时间对着错误的对象说正确的话。所以沟通一定要看场合和看对象，好话也得对着好人说才行。
能张嘴把事情说清楚，这是智慧；能闭住嘴不说，这是更高级的智慧。

It is wisdom to be able to open your mouth to make things clear; it is higher wisdom to be able to shut your mouth and not to speak.
