Because of the COVID-19, I have been at home for more than 3 month. In the three month I have done a lot of things, one of the achievement is my progress in yoga. This three month I do yoga nearly every day, sometimes for more than one hour, sometimes for more than 2 hours, and sometimes teach my friends do yoga from the video call. Every time, after doing yoga, I have a full sense of accomplishment. And this three month, I have found more awareness in my physical and mentality.
I have been do yoga for more than 4 years. In the first stage, I always got hurt because of the instability in physical and mentality. Until last year, when I went to a famous yoga school to take the theoretical and practical courses, I began to understand what is real yoga, and from then on, I begin to make great progress and rarely get hurt.
Some people look yoga as dancing, some look yoga as acrobatism. And a lot of people pursue difficult postures, and several of them have been wounded. But in fact, yoga goes beyond asana, its ultimate goal is making mind be more stable. The more stable the mind, the better asana people will do.
Yoga connects body and mind. You feel good physically, but you also get a peaceful, relaxed feeling afterwards. I like the feeling of stabilization in physical and mentalily which is yoga bring to me. Yoga is not about showing off asanas, its purpose is controlling the fluctuations of the mind. One of my teacher once said a words :" putting your feet on your neck can not add some marks to your soul". So, throw away your vanity, and enjoy real yoga, you will find your true self, and you will also find your true life.
