Pandora, 潘多拉的故事，大概没有人觉得陌生。
先前还觉得生字有点多的一群学生，忽然有点扬眉吐气的感觉。
“没看懂也知道它在讲什么。” WKN说。这个昨天问了prepare什么意思的7年级女孩，被我质疑了一下之前怎么在A班活下来的，今天忽然好有底气。
遇见熟悉的故事，果然还是能非常有效地降低难度，并且减轻阅读心理障碍。
所以是读得很开心的一次。
There was once a shy young woman. She had long, silky hair and large, sky-blue eyes. She was sweet and lovely, and had beauty that shone like the sun. Since she had beeb blessed with these good qualities, she was called Pandora. Her name means "the gift of all."
原来Pandora并不是她原来的名字，而是类似于一个nickname。因为长得太可爱，被赋予此名，意指礼物。如天地之宠儿，她是如此完美，连宙斯见了也称赞不已。妒忌的赫拉立马不舒服了，她说，她不过是一个普普通通的凡间女子，与其他人并没有什么不同。为了让宙斯信服，她说她有办法来证明。
“I shall give her this beautiful box, " Hera said. "I will fill it with all the troubles that a mortal can have: sorrow, mischief, sickness, sadness, and death. When we give it to her, we will tell her not to open it. If she is as perfect as you say, then she will not be tempted. And mortals will have nothing to fear, for all their troubles will remain in the box."
为了证明Pandora不过是一个普通人，Hera的计划是送她一个漂亮的盒子，把凡人会有的所有麻烦全放进去，比如懊悔，灾祸，疾病，悲伤，及死亡。把盒子交给她的时候，告诉她不能打开。如果她如你所说的完美，那么就不会受到诱惑。凡人也便没什么可怕的，因为所有麻烦都会留在盒子里。
