“去哪里”不要再用"Where are you going"!

    今天要和大家分享的实用口语表达是:Where are you heading?

      head除了我们熟悉的“”的意思,还可以作动词用,是“朝着某个方向行进”的意思。Where are you heading? 意思就是“你要去哪儿啊?”

- Why are you in such a hurry? Where are you heading?

- 你怎么这么匆忙?你要去哪儿啊?

- Go to the movies. It's about to start!

- 去看电影,快要开始了!

    美国人还习惯用headed代替heading,to be headed 没有被动的意思哦,只是说明本身移动的方向。Where are you headed? 和 Where are you heading? 没多大区别,前面的强调状态和目的地,后者强调移动的动作

Where are you headed? 你要去的(地方)是哪儿?

Where are you heading? 你要去哪儿?


- Hey, where are you heading?

- 喂,你要去哪儿啊?

- East.

- 东面。

- No, I mean, where are you headed for?

- 不是,我是问你,要去什么地方?

- City library.

- 市图书馆。

- Take it easy. It's only a stone's throw away.

- 别着急,离这里很近啊。

    注意哦,head是不及物动词,如果 be headed 或 be heading 后面要接名词代词中间要加上介词for,下面我们来看几个例句:

The car was heading straight for me.

车子径直向我开过来。

It's getting late, let's head for home.

天色不早了,咱们回家吧。

I think we're headed in the right direction.

我觉得我们的方向是对的。
