如果可以，可以坐在昏暗的光影里，眉间含一抹微微的笑意，听阳光轻轻的在耳畔私语，将内心的纷杂过滤，将心灵的尘埃洗涤。

爱是浪漫的、美好的，而本诗中所描绘的爱还有脆弱的一面。

爱的脆弱源于心的脆弱，脆弱的心要想有所寄托，这就需要心与爱的相互依赖；没有爱，心不能坚强，没有心，爱也无处所用。

When the lamp is shattered

当一盏灯破碎了,

The light in dust lies dead -

它的光亮就灭于灰尘;

When the cloud is scattered

当天空的云散了,

The rainbow's glory is shed.

彩虹的辉煌随即消隐。

When the lute is broken,

要是琵琶断了弦,

Sweet tones are remembered not;

优美的乐音归于沉寂;

When the lips have spoken,

要是嘴把话说完,

Loved accents are soon forgot.

爱的韵味很快就忘记。

As music and splendour

有如乐音和光明

Survive not the lamp and the lute,

必和琵琶与灯盏并存,

The heart's echoes render

心灵弹不出歌唱

No song when the spirit is mute: -

假如那精气已经消沉:

No song but sad dirges,

没有歌，只有哀悼,

Like the wind through a ruined cell,

象吹过一角荒墟的风,

Or the mournful surges

象是哀号的波涛

That ring the dead seaman's knell.

为已死的水手敲丧钟。

When hearts have once mingled

两颗心一旦结合,

Love first leaves the well-built nest

爱情就离开精制的巢,

The weak one is singled

而那较弱的一个

To endure what it once possessed.

必为它有过的所煎熬。

0 Love! who bewailest

哦，爱情!你在哀吟

The frailty of all things here,

世事的无常，何以偏偏

Why choose you the frailest

要找最弱的心灵

For your cradle, your home, and your bier?

作你的摇篮、居室、灵棺?

Its passions rock thee

它以热情颠疲你,

As the storms rock the ravens on high;

有如风暴把飞鸦摇荡;

Bright reason will mock thee,

理智将会嘲笑你,

有如冬日天空的太阳。

From thy nest every rafter

Will rot, and thine eagle home

Leave thee naked to laughter,
