As far as I am concerned, aging population is a serious problem in China. Currently, Chinese people's life expentancy has rose significantly and birth rates has declined remarkably.
First of all, with more people claiming pension benefits but less people paying income taxes, the shrinking workforce may be forced to pay higher taxes, which weight more on us young people. And it would come with economic risks.
To top it off, longer lives do not necessarily mean healthier lives, aged people are more likely to have at least one chronic disease and require expensive, long-term care. As the result of one-child policy, many young people need take care of their parents alone when the get retired.
So, it's a really an urgent mission for our govorment to solve the problem of aging population.
