Two New Poems in Seven-character Lines
1.
秋雨绵绵诉幽情
Autumn Rain Whispering Deep Feelings
秋雨连绵落北疆，
丝丝缕缕意幽长。
Autumn rain drizzles down in the northern land
Each drop a thread of feeling, deep and grand
烟村隐约朦胧见，
野渡空濛落寞藏。
Through misty villages, sights are dimly shown
In lonely wild ferries, desolation's known
风卷残荷声瑟瑟，
雨敲阔叶韵锵锵。
The wind sweeps fallen lotus, whispers soft and low
Rain taps broad leaves, a rhythmic staccato flow
凭栏远望思无尽，
佳句成诗寄远方。
Leaning on the rail, gazing far with endless thoughts,
Poetic lines take shape, to be sent to the distant place.
2.
宝刀未老歌
The Sharp Sword Remains
不坐床头享寿康，
跋山涉水去观光。
Not resting on a bed, content with age's grace,
Through hills and rivers, I journey to a new place.
春种秋收劳作苦，
梨桃瓜果满园香。
In spring, I sow; in autumn, I reap the bitter toil,
Yet my orchard overflows with fruits, a fragrant spoil.
童颜鹤发精神好，
傲骨柔情气宇昂。
With youthful visage and grey hair, my spirit soars,
Proud bones and tender heart, my bearing is noble
潇洒人生才起步，
宝刀未老恋夕阳。
A life lived freely, just beginning to unfurl,
The sharp sword in me still loves the setting sun's swirl.
