杜鹃花属（学名：Rhododendron）是杜鹃花科的一个属，其下植物俗称杜鹃花、映山红、满山红、山踯躅、红踯躅、山石榴。全世界的杜鹃花属原种大约有960种，于中国境内有570余种。杜鹃花是尼泊尔的国花，是中国江西省的省花，也是无锡、镇江、三明、长沙、韶关、大理、嘉兴市、台北市、新竹市的市花。

Election-pink (Rhododendron periclymenoides (Michx.) Shinners) , commonly called pink azalea and pinxter flower, is a species of shrub in the heath family. It is native to eastern North America, where it is widespread from Alabama to New Hampshire. It is often found in riparian areas, in wet to dry forests.

This species produces showy pink flowers in the spring. They have 2-inch (51 mm) long stamens; they carry a strong, sweet scent similar to petunias. The leaves are bright green and ovate. The trunk grows to be about 9 feet (2.7 m) tall. Like many members of the genus, the plant contains toxins in all parts of the flower.
