•adj【无比较级和最高级，不用于名词前】

1、必定的，一定的certain to do sth:

（be）Bound to do something

You have done so much work that you are bound to pass the exam.

你下了这么大功夫，一定能考及格。

2、准备/正在到……去的；（车船等）开往……的：

A Paris-bond plane  飞往巴黎的飞机

（be）Bound for：

We are bound for movies.我们要去看电影。

The train is bound for Shanghai.这列火车开往上海。

•vi 跳跃；弹回：

Her heart bounded with joy.她高兴的心砰砰直跳。

The ball bounded from the wall.球从墙上弹了回来。
