Cheetahs are the fastest animals in the world, but running this quickly will take it a lot of energy, and cheetahs can only maintain the sprint for about half a minute before burning out. So they will always sneak up until they are confident of the attack.
The cheetah lurks in a shadow, camouflaged against the tall grasses. He cautiously the direction of the preys and waiting for them to move closer. He heard the footstep voice become clearer, but he doesn't until the fawn is within the assaultable range. Then he bursts out. As the fawn moving slower than the cheetah, he easily reaches it and uses his front paw to trip the prey.
