Cheetahs are likely to be taken for leopards or jaguars by most people who consider them as all big cats. But basically, they are lankier yet thinner than the majority of big cats. To be more specific, they have a deep chest, a long tail and a narrow waist, with short, coarse fur. The spots on their body are round and solid black with tear-like streaks running from the corner of their black-lined eyes down the two sides of their nose to mouth, which makes them fall into the category of feline.
Billed as one of the fastest land animals in the natural world, they mainly prey upon vulnerable herbivores like antelopes—just the scene described in the picture. Such violent predators tend to kill their prey by charging toward them and tripping them down in the chase. Their strength of a much higher speed has increased their chances of feeding themselves as opposed to other carnivores.
