Here is the scene of the opera Cat, the Broadway's longest running show. The stage is bathed in dim blue light. On the right of the stage placed a huge case. Around it, many cats-like actors are dancing their limbs. On the left, three female ‘cats’ sit together and watch the downstage center. Two male ‘cats’ are here.

“I have a Gumbie cat in mind......” The tall cat on the coat of black-and-white stripe appears in close-up. He extends his arms to the front and turns them back with an intoxicated expression.(Siting on the leftside, a female cat pointing the tall cat can`t help giggling.) The tall cat is continuing his song “All day she sits upon the stair...”The black cat on his side has been dancing with other cat actors with the song.

Then three female cats become the stage focus. “But when the day`s hustle and bustle is done...”They make exaggerated expression to present the kindness of the so-called Gumbie cat. On the other side of the stage, the huge case is opening slowly---the crouched fat Gumbie cat is rising. After some little ,the cat takes off its coat of tabby kind. As the song sings “She teaches them music, crocheting and tatting” the Gumbie cat begins its work---order other actors in line and lead them to dance. At the same time, the tall cat in black-and-white coat comes back to the stage center which has become a huge dancing floor. All the actors are standing in several rows and dancing.
