    在第一学期, 学术写作的优先级远远高于专业基础知识,对于英语非母语的留学生。

    2.Do not use/Teacher hate these

    3.Do not use idiomatic,colloquial vocabulary.

    7.Do not use As well As start a sentence.

    8.Do not use And start a sentence.

    9.Avoid use of the personal ‘you’ form in essays and reports and use the passive voice instead.
    Although ,Academic English tends to use the passive voice more than active form English , it should not be over-used

    10.Be as precise as possible when dealing with facts or figures.
    Avoid phrases .
    If it is necessary to estimate numbers use approximately rather than about.

    110.Conclusions should use tentative language/Hedging

    /Might /May/Can
    /tends to
    /Suggest
    /Generally/Sometimes
    Avoid absolute statements .

    11.Avoid adverbs that show your personal attitude.
    Do not use Emotion Language Except when talking about finding or figure in Research Report。

    12.Avoid using etc. ,or so on.
    Insert “and” before the last item.

    13.When write conclusion , Use Lastly rather than At Last.

    14.优先使用In Addition to ,Additionly,As well as作为第二选择,

    15.Don’t use “THE” if the item has not been introduced.

    16.You do not usually start a paragraph (in academic writing) with:

    Furthermore... (really must be further to what has just been argued)
    Also ... (must be relevant and an addition to last point)
    However ... (must be counter to last point)
    Moreover ...... (must add to last argument)
    In addition...... (must be relevant and an addition to last point)
    He said that..... (must re-introduce who ‘he’ is)

    17.Common use - ‘effect’ is a NOUN, ‘affect’ is a VERB
    Through they all have NOUN AND VERB
