Guys don't be afraid of this big and abstract question. Let's see what difference we can collide.
I want to talk about it because I saw a dialogue from a teacher this morning. So I tried to illustrate her idea with my study. She mentions that we seek happiness through studying, changing our habits, or cultivating ourselves through a strict religious doctrine. The strategies are various but the shared truth is we learn to or make sure we can change the way how to see ourselves and the world. For example, how do we see oral English talking exercises in our group? The way we see ourselves, I can't do the instant free talk, it's embarrassing to disclose my poor accent, I tried many times without success, hope to be a fluent articulator is not likely to be achieved, you can see more and more negative ideas are formulated in our heart. And the way how other people value this issue? A waste of time? meaningless talking? then you can also have a lot of negative ideas. So we are finally overwhelmed in our thoughts.
The right way is we ask ourselves, is this thing I really want to do even though I can't see immediate progress or results? What if we are sometimes frustrated from doing it and we help ourselves out and revive?
So I try to rich my way to express, for example, today's topic is interesting, I try to follow it or like today my awareness on pursuing happiness with oral English practice, a translation of what touched me. Make use of each time to connect each of you, but the first and most important thing is I enjoy myself. So English is one way to pursue happiness.
What about you?
