美国东部时间周日晚上8点，西部时间下午5点，北京时间9月23日上午9点，第71届艾美奖（Emmy Awards）在美国加州洛杉矶市微软剧院举行，颁出了2019年度（2018.6-2019.5）的电视剧集类的奖项，虽然第八季没有想象中的精彩好看，但并不妨碍《权力的游戏》成为最大赢家；第8季获得32个奖项提名，获得12个奖项；全八季共获得161项提名，斩获57个奖项。
本届艾美奖电视剧集类奖项礼分成两次举行：本次颁发的演员及主创人员的作品类奖项；上周末（9.14-15）颁发了创意艺术艾美奖（Creative Arts Emmy Awards）的幕后剧组团队的技术类奖项。
权游作品类获奖情况
第八季提名并最终斩获最佳剧情类电视剧奖（Outstanding Drama Series）。小恶魔彼得·丁拉基提名并最终斩获最佳男配角奖，这也是他第五次获此奖项。
此外，龙妈艾米莉亚·克拉克提名了最佳女主角奖（Outstanding Lead Actress）；私生子基特·惠灵顿提名了最佳男主角奖（Outstanding Lead Actor）。
美人格温多兰·克里斯蒂、瑟曦琳娜·海蒂、珊莎索菲·特纳、二丫麦茜·威廉姆斯提名了最佳女配角奖（Outstanding Supporting Actress）；席恩阿尔菲·艾伦、詹姆尼可拉·科斯特-瓦尔道提名了最佳男配角奖（Outstanding Supporting Actor）。
第八季第3集“长夜”、第4集“最后的史塔克”和第6集“铁王座”提名了最佳导演奖（Outstanding Directing）；两位编剧David Benioff和Daniel Brett Weiss提名了最佳编剧奖（Outstanding writing）。
权游技术类获奖情况
红袍女卡里斯·范·侯登提名了剧情类最佳客串女演员奖（Outstanding Guest Actress）
权游第八季还获得了以下10个技术类奖项：
