创作背景
经典英文歌曲《卡萨布兰卡》(Casablanca)并不是电影《卡萨布兰卡》(又名《北非谍影》)里的插曲，而是上世纪70年代由 Bertie Higgins(贝特·希金斯)在看完这部电影后有感而写出的，用的是电影的名字。
Bertie Higgins(贝特·希金斯)说:"这首歌是我为当时的女朋友、现在的妻子写的。我记得那是1982年，《北非谍影》是我们共同喜爱的电影，这部爱情片让我们如痴如醉。结合这部电影给我的感觉，我为女朋友写了《卡萨布兰卡》，她非常感动，还答应了我的求婚，成了我的妻子。"
歌曲《卡萨布兰卡》之所以受人喜爱，是因为它唱出了许多无奈离别的人的心声。它贴切地再现了影片的主题，以至于许多人都以为它是电影《卡萨布兰卡》的主题曲。歌曲充满着怀旧、追忆、思念的复杂的情绪，情感真挚，曲调优美。
