结构搭建的三个功能词或形式，即as，ing，with

知识要点：

• 劳动、生息、繁衍 toil and flourish
• 中华民族 the Chinese nation；各民族 all ethnic groups；少数民族 ethnic minorities
• 幅员辽阔 vast in territory；历史悠久 time-honored
• 表示递进、说明的时候，可以用ing / with 的形式（主语一致用ing，不一致用with sb doing sth）
• 充分的学术自由 adequate academic liberty
• 充分施展个人才华 bring out one’s best
• 踏足前人从未涉足的领域 enter uncharted territories
• shed light on 解释，说明，阐述

技巧四：同义重复“并译”行

中文的四六八字词存在意思重复，需提取核心意思；中文的“双动词”现象，取其一即可

知识要点：

• 骄傲与自豪，千山万水，你中有我我中有你此类属于意思重复
• 调整与优化，提高与加强，保障和改善此类属于双动词重复
• hustle and bustle 热闹繁华；boisterous 喧嚣的，吵闹的
• metropolitan possibilities 丰富多彩的都市生活（possibility 更多时候为“机遇”之意）
• get away from sth for sth 为了...远离...

技巧五：“千变万化”增张力

同义词替换、调整词性、从多角度诠释

• sweet-talker 花言巧语之人
• outspoken 直言不讳的，坦率的
• go the ... way 具有...特点 / 特色

技巧六：具体、概括“不相容”

舍宏观概括，取微观具体

知识要点：

• 时而...时而... at times ... at others
• 大体说来，总体而言 by and large
• 境由心生 it is how you feel deep down that counts
• 占有举足轻重的地位 be essential to
• 稍微观察一下 to even a casual observer
