This morning I got -together with a friend to a coffee bar named Momo.
After I chatted with my friend for a while, the coffee bar owner joined our conversation about how important English is in kids' education. She said when she was a student, she dreamed of owning a coffee shop. She hoped to study in a coffee training school overseas. But her poor English stopped her. She still remembered that she barely recognized phonetics after three years of study on it, but she could speak words and sentences. The teacher and her classmates mocked and ridiculed her, therefore, she lost her interest in English ever since.
It suddenly occurred to me that we can speak Chinese before we knew Pinyin.
Sometimes, for a child, encouraging and guiding, making her confident, optimistic, and following her dreams are more meaningful than high sores , in my opinion!
Luckily, the owner insisted on her dream to study further in China and have the first coffee shop this year. She is 25 years old now.
Momo cafe, A small coffee shop, but it is full of the owner's love and resistance! I recommend you have a cup of coffee or tea here in your spare time.
