Some facts of history

We usually say China has a 5000 years history. And those things most occasions at some special event when we compare with other's countries, such as the US. We are usually so proud of our long history and to disdain the history of the American. They said they only have 200 years of history and couldn't compare it with us. 

In fact, in this debate, we are secretly changing the concept, we inadvisedly confuse the concept of state and civilization.

If we compare the country's history period, and we will find that China has about 70 years and America has more than 200 years. If we compare the whole culture, western culture comes from about 6000 years ago. But in China, we only have records of the historic event about 3000 years. So in another word, we can see the western culture is longer than the eastern culture.

Although America is a new country, it was founded only 200 years ago. But in fact, the culture is coming from Europe, and it has a long history. We can check the bible, which was carried about 4000 years ago. And if we check Egypt history, we can find some temples held about 8000 years. Even in some libraries, we know the first library of humans is about 6000 years ago and was destroyed by 2016. 

The first people who came to America were around 1602. It's about 400 years ago. So if we only talk about the civilizations of America it is about 400 years. And on the landing of North America. The Indians have their own culture. We can check the pictures from the storm. It's about 10000 years ago. So if we use the geography concept, the Americans have more than 10000 years of history. If we're just talking about the culture or civilization we can consider Europe or Egypt. The Israelite bible was written about 4000 years ago. And also at times, Egypt has a grocery culture. They have a king, There are already records of Pharaohs, and pyramids have been built. It also has a mature social system.

So the west culture also has a long history. Although they are based on Rome or Greece, they can be said to be derivative civilizations of ancient Rome and ancient Greece. But the continuation of civilization, if we want to go back, we should continue to go back, although we can still see many 6000-8000 years of written and graphic records from now on.

Generally speaking, a civilization should start with the appearance of words and record the history and calculate the time. Otherwise, if primitive people’s slash-and-fire or writing and painting on the rock wall are counted as civilizations, then the well-documented may be the Americas. The culture of the Indians has changed, and they have discovered the pictures on the stones that the Indians made at least 11,000 years ago.

So how about the situation in China? As we know, China had the Xia dynasty at first. It happened around 3000 years ago. At times, we have the world to record history, maybe from some special cup, a pot, or some other things. But before that, we only have an anecdote about some empire. We haven't any record of that historical period. In the stories, China had five empires before the Xia dynasty. We can assume things. Its empire had been a king for only 500 years. So we only could claim China has about 4000 years of history.

So if we know those facts. When we talk about some things and compare them with other countries. We said we have 5000 years of history that day America only has 200 years. That is not true.

We can be proud of our country and culture, but we couldn't establish our pride based on false foundations.

Respect the facts, respect the history, that is the primary rule of the human being.
