经济/零售:香港2017年全年零售额上涨2.2%,结束两年颓势

香港市场2017年零售市场逐渐回暖,全年销售额上升2.2%,体量上升1.9%,结束自2014年以来的市场低迷表现。香港旅游业的回暖和消费者需求增加是主要推动原因。

2017年11月香港零售额同比增长7.6%,达到387亿港元,是过去三年以来同比增幅最大的一年。按销售额计算,较上一年同期增长6.9%

“零售销售的增长反映了在良好的就业和收入条件下乐观的消费情绪。入境旅游的持续复兴也对此有所帮助,”香港政府发言表示。鉴于目前香港经济形势总体良好,入境旅游逐渐回暖,零售业近期前景仍然乐观。

根据香港零售管理协会的预测,出于对全球资本市场看涨和入境旅游数据的强劲增长,2018年香港零售业增长率应能达到3%至4%。

2017年全年珠宝首饰、钟表以及奢侈品礼品的销售额同比增长5.2%,创所有类型零售品类最高。其中香港珠宝制造商周大福和六福珠宝同店销售增长分别达到5%和1%。

同时药品和化妆品销售额全年同比增长5.5%。香港化妆品零售商SASA的零售额同比增长6.5%,护肤品销售商欧舒丹的净销售额增长3.0%。

Hong Kong retail market saw a modest recoveryin 2017 since continuously decline from 2014, with figures increases by 2.2% invalue and 1.9% in volume, mainly driven by improved tourism and strong consumerdemand.

November retail sales jumped 7.6% from ayear earlier to HKD38.7 billion, the biggest y-o-y growth over the past threeyears. In volume terms, sales rose 6.9 percent from a year earlier.

“The

growth of retail sales reflected the upbeat consumption sentiment amid

favorable employment and income conditions. The continued revival of inbound

tourism also helped,” said a government spokesman from The Census and

Statistics Department. The near-term outlook for the retail trade stays positive, given themore sanguine economic situation and improving inbound tourism.

Hong Kong Retail Management Association predicteda 3% to 4% growth for 2018, citing a bullish global assets market and robustinbound tourism figures.

Jewelry, watches and clocks and valuablegifts sales value increased by 5.2% y-o-y in 2017, marking the highest growthamong all broad type of retail outlet. The same store sales growth of Hong Kongjewelry maker Chow Tai Fook and Lok Fook increased by 5% and 1% respectively.

Medicines and cosmetics sales value raised5.5% y-o-y in 2017. Hong Kong cosmetics retailer SASA recorded a 6.5% y-o-ygrowth in revenue and skincare maker L’Occitane’s net sales increased by 3.0%.
