一.定冠词知识点：
（一）定义：用来限定或修饰名词的冠词；既可以修饰可数名词，也可以修饰不可数名词；表示特指。
（二）分类：the。
（三）用法：
1.表示上文提到的人和物。
e.g. He has a son and a daughter. The boy is five years old and the girl is six years old.
I have a book and the book is very interesting.
2.表示世界上独一无二的物体或自然现象。
e.g. The sunrises in the east and sets in the west.
The earth is our home.
3.某些专有名词。
e.g. the United States (the USA) 美国
the United Kingdom (the UK)英国
4.与某些形容词连用，表示整个类别或是抽象概念时。
e.g. the old 老年人
the young 年轻人
the beautiful美；漂亮的人
5.定冠词加在人体某一部位的名词。
e.g. The man took me by the arm.
Her mother hit her on the hand.
6.形容词或副词最高级，序数词或only之前，要加定冠词。
e.g. Tom was the first person to come to school this morning.
Mary is the most outgoing student in my class.
John is the only child of the farmer.
7.“the +姓氏的复数”表示某人一家或夫妻二人；作主语时通常看作复数。
e.g. the Blacks 布莱克一家人
the Whites怀特一家人
the Greens格林先生一家
8.部分乐器名词前面要加the(多为西洋乐器)。
e.g.play the piano弹钢琴
play the violin拉小提琴
play the guitar弹吉他
play the drums敲鼓
9.表示双方都知道的事物。
e.g. My father often lets me turn off theTV.

10.当名词后面有修饰语时通常要用定冠词。
e.g. I like the book that my best friend lent me yesterday.
The person you saw just now is my English teacher.
11.“at the +称呼（老师，医生等）的名词所有格”，表示这个人所工作的地方（学校，医院等）。
e.g. There are my people at the teacher’s.
I saw Mary at the doctor’s.
