There is no measure of humanity. We’re all made of good bits and bad bits and bits we bought off eBay.
But we are all different. We are all spectacular. We are all insanely invaluable in our own unique right. We are each made of such specific and stellar details that we couldn’t ever possibly be replicated. Our fingerprint is cattle-branded onto this cosmos —everywhere we go we are leaving our traces and our marks, in and amongst all those left by everybody else throughout time.
So no, you’re not better than them. But you are by far a the best possible you. And just because you share this room with somebody else, with almost 8 billion somebody else’s, that does not diminish your presence here. You light up every space you stand in, no matter who else is around. A star is just as breathtaking as a constellation, right? And fairy-lights are just as beautiful as a single flame.
Stop quantifying your value based on others, based on numbers, based external bloody things. Comparison is not a unit. Judgement is not lab equipment. You are not a science experiment, in which the decimal of your worth is the result. You are entire universes bursting to life in every dimension, at every hour.
