First Client

Joon is a good guy. As an foreign consultant, he has been doing a great job, and as a friend, he could also give me wise advice. What put a cherry on the top of the cake is, thanks to his endorsement (based on my tutorial capabilities), I got my first client with a luscious salary through him to a large extent.

So, tomorrow is my first day as a tutor. Once a person's title's changed, the diagram shift happens. Take a plain example here, the moment you have a real babe in your arms, you just become a parent, and the name of parent would make you think in different angles. The fact that you can think like a parent is amazing, and you would feel your relation with your own parents become tighter. And that's pretty much what I am experiencing now, but instead of having a babe, I got other people's kido in hands.

I think of teaching as a very noble and hard profession - a career with noble purpose as cultivating the next generation and spreading the seeds of knowledge as well as a laborious requiring bright and discernible eyes for the nuance and shades requirement and needs from a little green tree. In Chinese, there is a word, or a title, people often use to call a teacher, especially to the high school teacher is "Jiao Shu Jiang". I believe the equivalent term in English is craftperson. The fine qualities of a craftperson is patience, benevolence, sympathy, empathy as well as with a heart of constant learning and excellent skills. Only by having those, the craftman could produce a work that can be appropriated by both the laymen and the experts. So does the teacher. Those virtues make a teacher, and a teacher with those virtues make a decent pupil.  

I always hold the belief that as long as your service is pertaining to the third industry, then you should provide an extremely polished service for your users and clients. Calling a student client may sound a little inaccurate for his not being the one who would pay me, but the spirit couldn't be delivered in a better way. Getting to know the deep need of the student and customizing the tutoring service for him with premium after-sale service is my first goal. Preparing succinct and substantial teaching materials is my second goal. Mouth to mouth ad in any realm of business is playing a crucial part. So I'll make every effort to not to put my feet in my mouth.
